Exposure Leeds

Tuesday July 7, 2009

Five down...

Well, here we are - already looking forwards to Exposure Leeds #6 (not to mention PhotocampBradford {2009} ).

We've had almost 300 bums on seats at the monthly events; add to this the Photocamp and extra events and that's over 40 hours of events. And, even if you attended all of them; you'd have only paid £7.50 admission!

By the way... PHOTOCAMP IS BACK! (see below for more details).

So - what has happened since the last newsletter?

We've had sessions on the impact of colour in portraits, corporate editorial photos, a variety of technology themed events and sessions on both macro and travel photography. The results of the survey are in - and determining how the autumn monthlies will be run (yes; they're booked: October 7th, November 4th and December 2nd) - if you want to know more about what's going on; pop over to our brand new website!

Coming soon...

Exposure Leeds #6  (Aug 5th) - As a summer special we're joining with Leeds Art Walk for a photowalk around the culture of the city. Keep an eye on the website or Flickr group for information on this - soon.

Flicnic (aug 22nd) - along with Leeds group on Flickr we're having a family and friends barbecue in Chapel Allerton park - again there will be more details nearer the time; but basically it's a 'bring a dish' affair! (We'll even supply plates and cuttlery for a small fee...)

Exposure Leeds #7  (Sep 6th) will also be a little bit different - you'll find us on the Sunday, at Impressions Gallery, immediately after...

Are you ready for Photocamp Bradford?

With two incredibly successful Leeds Photocamps under our belts we're running the third - and relocating to the National Media Museum in Bradford.

Saturday 5th September will see us combining the exciting, open and sharing workshops presented by delegates along with sessions from museum staff and initiatives involving the public visiting the museum. Feedback from the previous 'unconferences' was that it was an overwhelming hit - almost all would attend again and recommend the event to a friend.

Admission is only £7.50 - come along and join in the photo-related fun! (or call 0870 70 10 200)

Can't make the Saturday? Well, keep tuned - there'll be further evewnts on the Sunday too!
